Plug and play! We have introduced and supplied the first DCF-2000 upgrade kit. All Eaton/Ronningen-Petter DCF-2000 customers can now take advantage of the upgrade kit. Take off the old lid, plug in and bolt on the new inserts to the system. This takes about 1 hour only, no major shut downs needed.

What are the advantages?

A new screen, more open area, possibly a new retention. A new tilt-lid, quick and easy to handle – no lifting. A new cleaning assembly, less wearing parts and a way improved lid and shaft sealing arrangement. Lower maintenance cost. No proximity switch failures anymore! Size does matter!

Don’t be fooled that size does not matter, it definitely does.Size - pure starch, with or without pigments is often used for surface treatment. Wet-end starch, again pure or with chemicals is used on many machines to improve paper inner parameters. The surface size needs to be filtered at about 150 microns to be clean enough to not cause any problems on the application units. This improves quality. Wet-end starch is normally filtered at 150-380 microns before it is applied to the head box or another place at the wet end.

Common for both applications is that if the liquids are filtered, the quality of the paper is higher, lesscleaning of the systems, a longer runtime before the starch needs to be replaced. These application have often bag filters or messyopen filtration systems that do require maintenanceand manual cleaning. We can offer an automatic system for this.
