LongSlot™ Cylinder

The capacity of the AFT LongSlot™ cylinder exceeds that of traditional slotted cylinders. The benefit is attained by extending the slot length. In some applications, LongSlot™ screen cylinders provide up to 40% more open area than conventional milled cylinders.

Perforated Cylinders

AFT perforated cylinders are available with proprietary AFT Durachrome® protection, the highest quality chrome surfacing in the industry. A prerequisite to extended product life, chrome is evenly distributed by anodes designed specifically for screen cylinders. AFT’s in-house chroming facility and continuing develop-ment of superior surface treatments ensures the highest quality chroming and re-chroming services.

Electron Beam

Electron beam perforation ensures optimum precision with small holes. AFT produces several types of filtration cylinders, the most common of which feature holes drilled with an electron beam - the preferred method when especially small holes are needed to ensure optimal filtration efficiency.

Nachchromierung

Die Lebensdauer eines Zylinders kann durch Nachchromierung verlängert werden - ein Prozess der die Entfernung des alten Chroms vor Anwendung der neuen Chromierung einschließt. Dies kann mehrere Male, abhängig vom jeweiligen Zylinder, durchgeführt werden. Ein mechanisches Audit von AFT ist der einfachste Weg um den besten Zeitpunkt der Nachchromierung zu bestimmen. Zylinder von Sortiereranlagen müssen ausgetauscht werden bevor der Verschleiß das Basismaterial erreicht.
