A new design for Flowtec – find information faster

More information, a better structure, information that is easier to find, a high degree of user friendliness and, most of all, a tool that helps customers do their work more easily, better and faster. Those were the broad requirements for Flowtec Industrietechnik GmbH's new website.

All the technical information necessary for new projects or areas of application in the paper and pulp industry can also be very easily and quickly accessed. Bellmer builds systems for the pulp- and paper industry since 1842. The company develop and designs plants or modernisation projects, for pulp-and paper machines, for all types of paper. With the subsidiary company LANG-HAFNER Air & Steam Technology, specialist for air- and steam technology, Bellmer creates continuously new synergies. The mostly individual designed special machines requires highest construction- and engineering resources, as well as deep product expertise, in order to develop with innovative methods the existing traditional processes. Bellmer Kufferath´s scope of supply comprises Dandy Roll Systems and open rolls to any paper machine. On January 1, 2012, the legal entity POM Technology Oy in Finland was merged into Aikawa Fiber Technologies Oy (AFT). As a consequence of the merger, all rights and liabilities will be transferred to Aikawa Fiber Technologies Oy.

Aikawa has built a foundation as a premier supplier of stock preparation technologies and engineered wear components through the acquisition of specialist companies such as AFT, Finebar, and POM Technology. Now, all the companies are organized under a single brand to provide customers with alternatives to the packaged offerings of the “Big Box” major suppliers. It is our belief that customers prefer the freedom to select the best single equipment, with process know-how and expertise to put systems together when required.

An example of how investment at AFT Varkaus plant is used to deliver state-of-the-art performance is the recently introduced MacroFlow2 screen cylinder. We could not have built MacroFlow2 even five years ago. SELTEK - Filter Audit in your house

This is the best time of the year to make plans for the year. We offer to visit you and do for example a filter audit at your site. We will check all liquid filters,make suggestions for improvements, service and optimization of new or old equipment. Contact us optimization of new or old equipment.

Plug and play! We have introduced and supplied the first DCF-2000 upgrade kit. All Eaton/Ronningen-Petter DCF-2000 customers can now take advantage of the upgrade kit. Take off the old lid, plug in and bolt on the new inserts to the system. This takes about 1 hour only, no major shut downs needed.

What are the advantages?

A new screen, more open area, possibly a new retention. A new tilt-lid, quick and easy to handle – no lifting. A new cleaning assembly, less wearing parts and a way improved lid and shaft sealing arrangement. Lower maintenance cost. No proximity switch failures anymore! Are you tired of DCF-2000 wearing drive shafts? Wear of the nut? What about leaking lids? Call us for a suggestion to improve your DCF unit.

Size does matter!

Don’t be fooled that size does not matter, it definitely does.Size - pure starch, with or without pigments is often used for surface treatment. Wet-end starch, again pure or with chemicals is used on many machines to improve paper inner parameters. The surface size needs to be filtered at about 150 microns to be clean enough to not cause any problems on the application units. This improves quality. Wet-end starch is normally filtered at 150-380 microns before it is applied to the head box or another place at the wet end.

Common for both applications is that if the liquids are filtered, the quality of the paper is higher, lesscleaning of the systems, a longer runtime before the starch needs to be replaced. These application have often bag filters or messyopen filtration systems that do require maintenanceand manual cleaning. We can offer an automatic system for this.
