Ball valves can be used specifically by applying ceramic components as control and shut-off fittings at high temperatures in highly abrasive as well as corrosive media containing solids, e.g. lime sludge, titanium dioxide, plaster suspension, fly ash, china clay, quartz, sand cement, carbon dust, catalysors and lime milk.
